User Guide
Recording a meeting
Section titled “Recording a meeting”Start a recording manually from the toolbar, or let auto-detection start one for you when it recognizes a meeting app has become active (see Configuration). Stop recording when the meeting ends; Markdrip transcribes on-device and saves a new note.
Reviewing a transcript
Section titled “Reviewing a transcript”Each note shows the transcript broken into segments, one per speaker turn. From a note you can:
- Edit a segment’s text inline to fix a transcription error.
- Tag or re-tag which speaker said a segment.
- Play back the audio aligned to a segment.
People and speakers
Section titled “People and speakers”Markdrip groups segments by speaker across a meeting and, once you enroll your own voice, recognizes you automatically. The People view lists everyone Markdrip has seen across your notes so you can merge duplicate speakers or correct a misattributed one.
Calendar context
Section titled “Calendar context”If you enable it, Markdrip uses your local calendars to give a new meeting a title and note who was invited, so you don’t have to label every note by hand. It’s off until you turn it on (Settings → Calendar), you pick which calendars it may read, and it all happens on-device — see Configuration to set it up. You can clear every calendar-derived detail from your notes at any time with Forget calendar data.
Searching your vault
Section titled “Searching your vault”Use search to find notes by content, participant, or tag. Search runs entirely against your local vault index — no query ever leaves your device.
Add tags to a note to group related meetings (e.g. by project or team) and filter the note list by tag.
