Export and share meeting notes
Opening the export menu
Section titled “Opening the export menu”Open any meeting note and select the Export this meeting button near the top of the note view. The export dialog has a Save locally section for actions that touch no network. A Send section for exporting to a workspace you own is coming soon.
Save locally
Section titled “Save locally”All actions in this section run entirely on your device. No content is uploaded.
- Save as Markdown — saves the meeting summary, manual notes, and action items as a
.mdfile to your device. You choose where it goes; Markdrip does not read or transmit the saved file. - Email draft — opens a ready-to-copy draft with the meeting title in the subject line and the summary in the body. No email is sent automatically; paste it into your mail app when you’re ready.
- Save audio clip — saves the meeting’s local recording as an audio file on your device. This option appears only when a recording was captured. The audio file is written locally without an upload in this export action.
- Local Git handoff — writes the meeting note into a local Git repository you already have checked out. Remote push stays in your own terminal; Markdrip writes to the local repository only and does not push to any remote.
Transcript timestamps
Section titled “Transcript timestamps”Each line in a transcript shows the time in the recording when that segment was spoken. Click the timestamp to seek the local audio to that point and start playback. This is a local navigation feature; no audio is shared and no content leaves your device.
Send to a workspace (coming soon)
Section titled “Send to a workspace (coming soon)”Network workspace exports are not included in the current release. The design and privacy model are documented below. When this feature ships, it will appear as a Send section in the export menu.
Connect a workspace
Section titled “Connect a workspace”When available, click Connect next to the workspace name and enter your access token when prompted. The token will be stored in your operating system’s secure credential store (Keychain on macOS), locked to your device, and never transmitted to Markdrip.
Disconnect at any time from Settings → Integrations. Disconnecting immediately removes the stored credential; no further exports to that workspace are possible until you reconnect.
Confirm an export
Section titled “Confirm an export”Every export to a workspace will be a fresh, three-step action:
- Enter the destination — for example, the page, team, or channel you want to reach in that workspace.
- Click Preview to see exactly what will be sent and to which account.
- Review the preview, then click Send to confirm.
Canceling at any step discards the staged action — nothing is transmitted. There will be no remembered approval, automatic retry, or background sync. Each export is a distinct, one-shot action that requires your confirmation.
What is never sent
Section titled “What is never sent”- Audio and voice fingerprints — raw audio, audio clips, and voice data are structurally excluded from all export payloads by design.
- Hosted links — Markdrip does not create hosted or shareable links to your content.
- Background exports — exports will only happen when you initiate and confirm them. The app does not sync, retry, or export in the background.
